Enjoyed our visit, sheriff talked to us and told us some history, like hanging tree next to courthouse and the shops on the square asnd resturants and to go visit Presidio. Enjoyed our trip.
Beautiful downtown and courthouse. I went during the week and it was peaceful and not much was going on. People were friendly and said hello to me while I was sitting on a bench admiring the courthouse.
Disappointed that he didn't lower BOTH flags for veterans shot and killed in Dallas. If veterans of war who come here to serve the public as police men in the land of the free and home of the brave don't deserve having the flags lowered in their honor then I don't know who deserves it. Shame on you when both the president and our beloved governor tell you to lower the flags (notice the s) and you don't listen. What chain of command is there?
I'm very disappointed in Judge Pat Calhoun's decision to not lower the flags in the aftermath of the Orlando shooting!!! Calhoun needs to step down as County Judge because of this!!!
