Classic Texas BBQ
Great fatty brisket and good sausage with a nice snap. Ribs were okay, but we were lucky that it was a weekend visit because we were able to snag some of the crazy good smoked chicken. Beyond the cue, perhaps the greatest thing was visiting with the owner and a long time customer about local news and good Texas BBQ joints.
Friendly people, clean dining area, interesting decor. You get a choice of dry, wet or in between. We got in between. My husband liked it enough to buy a pound of beef to take and bought a jar of spice. It had too much fat for my taste. I should have asked for lean.
$42 for a 2 meat plate and a one meat plate. Food was good but not worth $42.
Great BBQ sandwich! I got that double decker chopped brisket and sausage beast with pickles and onions. Dear lord it was massively delicious.
I don't believe you can't get a more authentic Texas BBQ experience than going to McMillan's. A gorgeous restaurant, full of history, neat and clean, beautiful landscaping, an outdoor patio with seats cut out of blocks of wood, and a slow stream of smoke wafting through the grounds. Mr. McMillan waited on us and showed us true Texas hospitality. The food was amazing, easily ranking up with the best BBQ we have had working our way through the Texas BBQ joints. If you have an opportunity to visit this establishment, please do. We had an amazing trip here and believe you will also.
